Ethanol

Ethanol or ethyl alcohol is a clear colorless liquid ingredient in alcohol beverages as well as personal care and beauty products, paints, varnishes and fuel. Ethanol is a natural byproduct of plant fermentation and thus is a pure form of alcohol used to dissolve other chemical substances and blends easily with liquids.

Used in:  the manufacturing of drugs, plastics, lacquers, polishes, plasticizers and cosmetics. It is an ingredient in alcoholic beverages like beer, wine or brandy and blended with gasoline for use in motor vehicles.
